Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Rural Reentry Ministries

-- Forward Thinking --
Prison ministries do a wonderful job of helping inmates through repentance and conversion into a returning Christian Neighbor. But without a support system to bring them home they go right back to the same broken relationships, people and habits -- Never changing their lifestyle.

What this often translates into is the returning Christian Neighbor often bounces from couch to couch until they find a job and get back on their feet or run out of time and return to prison.

The mission of Rural Reentry Ministry, Inc. is to operate a restorative justice ministry for former prison inmates, recently released, returning veterans and others who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to provide them with assistance in re-establishing themselves as productive members of the church and society in rural communities. Additionally, we care about all people in and around our community; as such, we are a liaison in connecting everyone with hard to find resources.
-- How We Can Help You --
Returning home can be an anxious time of your life. You're unsure of where to go, who to see, or even pick-up where you left off. Rural Reentry Ministry provides a faith based process to help repentant Christian Neighbors reintegrate into society. Your process journey is organized through a case management system and biblical discipleship.

Case Management and Services
Case management is a support system that provides a Christian Neighbor with three mentors. Each participant will be assigned a primary, spiritual, and financial mentor who will guide a Christian Neighbor along their restorative path. Additionally, the Christian participant will undergo an in-depth assessment to identify needs (if any) in the 12 areas assessed.

Biblical Discipleship and Education
Discipleship is the most important service we can offer those returning home from prison. The truth is, we can't help someone that does not want it or is not willing to put forth the effort to enact meaningful change in their lives.
Jesus speaks to this in Matthew 23:26 when He says, "First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean."

-- Do you feel it's impossible to help out? --
You may not be a person who is personally affected by incarceration; however, you and our team can still bring positive impact to those who have been affected by incarceration. You can be an important part of organization through one of the following options:
  1. Volunteering: Volunteering is an opportunity for you to serve the community either through mentoring or staff roles.
  2. Church Partner: A Church Partner is a ministry that wants to grow with us and provide a sanctuary that accepts ex-felons.
  3. Donating: Donating provides you the opportunity to passively serve the community through supporting this ministry.

-- Self Help Resources --
Rural Reentry pledges to turn nobody away without at least basic help. At anyone's request we will do a basic needs assessment with referrals to suggested agencies, ministries, churches, etc. where outstanding needs can be met. This is a free public service. Rural Reentry also partners with organizations that provide local emergency assistance where needed.
